I would like to thank everyone who sent us emails to check if we are okay. Thankfully, we are all okay and we do not know anyone directly affected by the quake/tsunami. The quake was very mild here in Kyoto; I didn't feel it but some people felt mild shaking. Of course, like the rest of the world, we are absolutely shocked by the images we are seeing from northeast Japan. We are praying for all those affected.
Over the next few days, I will be researching the most effective aid organizations and relief efforts and I will try to make some posts about them.
