Marking the end of the Arashiyama sightseeing district, this lovely torii (Shinto shrine gate) makes the perfect place for a souvenir shot.
Torii (Shinto shrine gates) are by their very nature picturesque, but this one at the top (western end) of the main tourist track in Arashiyama is a stunner. It’s pleasantly weathered by the ages and it makes a great place for a group souvenir snapshot.
