Located a very short walk southwest of downtown (near the Shijo-Karasuma intersection), Goodman Roaster serves some of the best coffee in Kyoto. It’s a low-key and chilled out place for a nice pick-me-up.

It doesn’t look like much with its spare and unfinished interior, but Goodman Roasters puts all their efforts into their great coffee, so what does it matter? You’re here for great coffee and a break from the big coffee chains.
The staff are friendly, the coffee drinks are great and they have a small but excellent selection of sweets to go with them. It’s a few minutes’ walk from Shijo-Karasuma. Look for the glass front and yellow color scheme.
