Smack dab downtown, the Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa is a good choice for those who want a central location at a reasonable price.
Right on Kawaramachi-dori, one of the main thoroughfares of Downtown Kyoto, the Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa is a good hotel within walking distance of the entire downtown area. There’s also a subway station right near by to ease exploring the city. Some of the rooms are showing their age, but the management and staff try hard to make guests as welcome as possible. And, as the name suggests, there’s an on-site spa with the usual services.
