Lugol is a nice, hip café for quick cuppa while on the north side of Downtown Kyoto. In addition to the usual café beverages, they serve some light meals, mostly European.

Lugol is a cool and relatively unknown café in downtown Kyoto where you can sip a cappuccino or have a light meal while surrounded by a few Kyoto hipsters and interesting artifacts. It’s definitely a nice place to read a book while taking a break from exploring downtown – and, perhaps most importantly, it’s not a chain.
