Superbly located in the heart of the Southern Higashiyama, the Park Hyatt Kyoto is a triumph of site-specific Japanese design, with large, comfortable rooms and magnificent common areas.
Park Hyatt Kyoto
Opened in 2020, the Park Hyatt is a wonderful addition to the Kyoto hotel scene. It now rivals the Ritz Carlton Kyoto as the best located hotel in the city: the Park Hyatt gets the nod for sightseeing convenience and the Ritz takes the honors for proximity to downtown (and both are fine choices). The Park Hyatt is at the bottom of Ninen-zaka, the atmospheric lane that connects Nene-no-Michi to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The evening strolls you can take right out the front door of the Park Hyatt are pure romance and you will certainly want to take one every night of your stay.
Park Hyatt Kyoto
The Park Hyatt offers rooms much larger than average for Japan and they are the perfect match of traditional Kyoto design and modern luxury features. The soaking tubs are wonderful and the views from some of the rooms are among the best in the city. Watching the sun set over Kyoto is not to be missed.
Park Hyatt Kyoto
Early reports from guests indicate that the hotel is having a few teething problems, as you’d expect, but we are sure that the Park Hyatt will soon rival its sister hotel, the Hyatt Regency Kyoto, as one of the best run hotels in the city. It’s highly recommended for a comfortable stay in the heart of Kyoto’s main sightseeing district.
