If you’re looking for a break from large and impersonal international luxury brands, the Junei Hotel is an intimate boutique hotel that perfectly reflects its Kyoto location. Each of the eight rooms is extremely spacious, even by international standards. Beds are Western-style, but rooms are also rich with Japanese design touches.

The Junei offers in-room meals and they can accommodate vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free diners. They serve excellent Japanese food, including wonderful kaiseki meals.

The hotel offers a variety of services, including private tours to various places near Kyoto, including the Tango Peninsula and Amanohashidate. In addition, they can even arrange for private geisha entertainment.
All in all, if you’re looking for a very restful stay, the Junei is highly recommended.
